Watch the following video for a detailed overview of the latest OnePlan features introduced in the June 24th release!

Portfolio List

  • Modified, Modified By, Created, and Created By can now be added to views.  Previously these fields were only available in the OData feed for reporting.
  • Filters and groupings will now only show fields that are related to the plan types available in the area you are in.  For example, if you are looking at the my portfolio area, you will see fields for plan types like projects, programs and portfolios, but not ideas and other plan types not available in that area.
  • You can now group on user fields.
  • When filtering on user fields, you can now select one or more users.  Previously you could only filter for one user at a time.
  • When filtering on plan lookup fields, you can now select one or more lookup values.  Previously you could only filter for one plan value at a time.
  • You can now filter on blank values for choice fields.  This filter will show you all plans that do not have a value set for that choice field.
  • When grouping by plan type, you will now only see plan type groupings for the types of plans that are showing in the view.
  • You can now show a different power bi report per area.  Previously, all areas showed the same power bi report.
  • The portfolio Gantt has been updated to allow for zoom, scroll to and zoom to fit.  It now works similarly to the work plan and my work Gantt.
  • You can now save views with the same name in different areas.  View names still need to be unique within a area.
  • You can now switch views from the menu bar.  This makes the views more apparent as well as saves clicks.
  • The plan name field now has a max width.  This helps prevent large white spaces when viewing the portfolio list on large monitors.
  • When saving views, the expand / collapse outline level will now be saved.
  • When hovering over multi-select choice fields, a tooltip to show all of the selected values will now appear.
  • When hovering over plan lookup fields, a tooltip to show all of the selected values will now appear.
  • When sorting your views, the sort will no longer be case sensitive.

Portfolio Kanban

  • You can now switch views from the menu bar.  This makes the views more apparent as well as saves clicks.

Portfolio Roadmap

  • You can now switch views from the menu bar.  This makes the views more apparent as well as saves clicks.

Plan Details

  • Modified, Modified By, Created, and Created By can now be added to plan details forms.  Previously these fields were only available in the OData feed for reporting.

Resource Plan

  • When viewing the schedule resource planning type, task total hours will now be shown.
  • When copying from one resource plan type to another, you can now choose to do a partial or full copy.  A full copy will create a exact copy including custom fields.  A partial copy will allow for selecting a date period as it worked previously.

Work Plan

  • When saving a template, timesheet hours will now be removed from work items.
  • Weekends can now be set as workdays in work calendars.
  • When exporting your workplan, hyperlink fields will now export the URLs entered.

Financial Plan

  • You can now sort choice field values alphanumerically.  This allows for adding new choices and sorting accordingly.  This is especially helpful when you have choice fields with many choice values.

Timesheets

  • The stopwatch feature is now available.  You can start the stopwatch when you start working on a task.  When you stop the stopwatch, it will update your timesheet with the amount of time worked.
  • When using the administer timesheet option, the user search results will now be sorted alphabetically.

OData

  • The capacity table will now load in pages by resource.  This will help with performance and timeouts when loading large amounts of data from this table.  Each resource will now have capacity data for the period of time they have bookings.  Previously capacity data was created for all resources base don the last date any resource had a booking.  Reports can be updated as needed to generate capacity data further out in time.

Performance

  • Updated connection to cosmos DB to allow for faster queries.
  • When using pre-filters in the portfolio list, data will now load faster.
  • Next release we will be removing the legacy left side plan navigation.  I you have not installed the insights app yet, you will need to before the August release.  This will allow for faster load times of OnePlan.
